Prayer for expeditious disposal of Case No. 974 of 2023 (State vs. Nauminath @ Naumi), arising out of Case Crime No. 26 of 2022, under Sections 376, 323, 504, 506 IPC, Police Station Mahila Thana, District Gorakhpur, has been made. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that charge was framed on 03.06.2023 and statement of PW-1 began on 13.07.2023, but the same has not yet been concluded on account of exemption applications being filed by the accused and on certain dates, the learned Presiding Officer was on leave. 4. Considering the nature of proceedings and about two years having spent without completing cross-examination of PW-1, prayer for expeditious disposal appears to be justified. 5. Accordingly, the application is disposed of directing the court concerned to decide the aforesaid proceedings strictly in accordance with law within a period of one year by fixing short dates from the date a certified/ true attested copy of the order is filed before it.
