Heard the Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned High Court Government Pleader for respondent No.1-State. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:14868 WP No. 105009 of 2023 3. The petitioner is appointed as a bill collector in the respondent No. 2 municipality on 29.03.1993. The petitioner claims that he is entitled to be promoted to the cadre of First Grade Revenue Inspector from the date on which his juniors were promoted. 4. The learned counsel for the petitioner takes this Court through a seniority list dated 01.01.2007, in which the name of the petitioner does figure over and above the juniors who have been granted promotion to the cadre of First Grade Revenue Inspector. In that light, the petitioner has submitted a representation seeking such promotion as is granted to his juniors to the cadre of First Grade Revenue Inspector. Non- consideration of the said representation has driven him to this Court in the subject petition. 5. Learned HCGP would submit that if reasonable time is granted, the representation of the petitioner would merit consideration and appropriate orders would be passed in accordance with law. 6. In the light of the said submission, without entering upon the merits of the claim of the petitioner, I deem it appropriate - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:14868 WP No. 105009 of 2023 to dispose the petition with the direction to the respondent to consider the representation so submitted by the petitioner within 4 months from the date of receipt of the copy of this order, if not earlier.
