BUSINESS, R/O D.NO. 19/1, 3RD CROSS ROAD, 24- ...PETITIONER/ACCUSED Yetapaka Police ...RESPONDENT/COMPLAINANT This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A.4, seeking 2 regular bail, in Crime No.137 of 2024 of Yetapaka Police Station, Alluri Sitharama Raju District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 111(2)(b) & 111(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 12.11.2024, at about 03.00 p.m., the Sub-Inspector of Police, Yetapaka Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, while conducting raid at Bojjaguppa Centre, Yetapaka, found A.1 and A.3 to A.6 in possession and illegal transportation of 100 Kgs. of ganja in two cars. The ganja was supplied by A.1 and A.2 at the request of A.3 and A.4 who purchased the ganja, to transport the same to Bangalore area with the assistance of A.5 and A.6. The contraband along with vehicles and other material was seized under the cover of Mediators’ report and a case has been registered against the accused. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material on record goes to show that 100 Kgs. of ganja was seized from the possession of the accused, which is a commercial quantity. It is submitted by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that the investigation is not yet completed and one more accused has to be 3 apprehended. He further submits that apart from the present case, one more similar case was registered against the petitioner herein. 6. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/A.4. 7.
