Heard Sri Keshav Hari Dixit, the counsel for the petitioner and Sri Saurabh Tiwari, the counsel for respondent nos.2 and 3 and the Standing Counsel for the State. 2. The present petition has been filed for the following reliefs: "I. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding the respondents to release the remaining unpaid amount of Rs.14,51,815 in favour of the petitioner firm. II. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding the respondents to compute and pay interest at a rate of 18% on the remaining unpaid amount of Rs.14,51,815, to the petitioner firm." 3. The records annexed with the writ petition do not indicate that the claim made by the petitioner has either been accepted by respondent no.2-Nagar Palika Parishad, Etawah or there is no dispute regarding the claim of the petitioner. It appears that no orders have been passed by the respondent no.2-Chairman, Nagar Palika Parishad, Etawah. 4. It would serve no useful purpose to keep the writ petition pending. 5. The petition is disposed of with a direction that in case, the petitioner files a representation before the respondent no.2-Chairman, Nagar Palika Parishad, Etawah with all the necessary documents in support of his claim, the respondent no.2-Chairman, Nagar Palika Parishad, Etawah shall pass appropriate orders on the aforesaid representation within one month from the date of filing the representation. 6. In case, the amount claimed by the petitioner is found to be due and is admitted, the Executive Officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, Etawah, shall ensure that dues of the petitioner is paid within one month from the date of decision on the representation of the petitioner.
