Mr. Afzal, learned advocate, appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, his client has challenged notice dated 2nd January, 2025 issued by the authority for impounding his passport. He submits, there is marital dispute and hence, police complaint lodged by his client's enstranged wife. He seeks interference. 2. Mr. Saurabh Kumar Tripathi, learned advocate, Central Govt. Counsel appears on behalf of Union of India and submits, it is a show cause notice requiring petitioner to reply. 3. Petitioner will forthwith submit reply to impugned notice dated 2nd January, 2025, following instruction given in the notice. He may produce certified copy of this order in seeking that his reply be accepted on delay. The reply is to be submitted by 12th June, 2025. 4. Respondent no.2 is directed to consider the reply and inform petitioner result of the consideration within two weeks thereafter. 5. The writ petition is disposed of.
