Hon'ble Avnish Saxena,J. 1. Mr.Lalit Kumar Srivastava, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, his client had applied for renewal of passport. He seeks direction upon the authority in terms of view taken by co-ordinate Bench on order dated 19th January, 2024 in a batch of writ petitions, leading case being Writ-C no.41540 of 2023 (Pawan Kumar Rajbhar Vs. Union of India and two others). 2. He submits further, petitioner was chargesheeted and in that connection, clarification sought by the authority on letter dated 4th March, 2025. His client appeared before the authority and submitted explanation. Paragraph-7 from the petition is reproduced below. "That the petitioner appeared before the Regional Passport Office, Ghaziabad and submitted an explanation that a false criminal case was registered against him and after the investigation the investigating officer submitted charge-sheet against the petitioner and other co-accused. Copy of FIR and charge-sheet submitted by the investigating officer is being filed herewith and marked as Annexure-3 to this writ petition." He prays for direction upon respondent no.2 for re-issuance of the passport. 3. Mr.Santosh Kumar Singh Paliwal, learned advocate, Central Government Counsel appears on behalf of Union of India. 4. Petitioner says, he has given explanation to notice dated 4th March, 2025. He will communicate certified copy of this order to respondent no.2 seeking re-issuance of his passport. Said respondent is to consider the explanation tendered and either re- issue the passport or inform reason(s) to not do so, within four weeks of the communication. 5.
