ORDER ON BOARD 05 /12/2025
1. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:-
“10.1 That, the Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to writ/writs, order/orders, direction/directions
2 directing the respondent authorities to decide the petitioner’s pending representation dated 04.11.2025 (Annexure P/1) for grant of lease of Shop No. 7 situated at Old Bus Stand Complex, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh within a limited time frame as may be stipulated by this Hon’ble Court. 10.2 In alternative, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to issue direction/directions to the respondent authorities to grant lease rights for the concerned shop or to provide alternative space to the petitioner to operate his business. 10.3 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief(s), which is deemed fit and proper in the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was in possession of Shop No. 7 located at Old Bus Stand Complex, Bilaspur since long and therefore, the petitioner submitted an application for grant of lease of the shop which was not considered. Petitioner thereafter submitted a fresh representation on 04.11.2025 which till date is pending
consideration and therefore, direction be issued to the Respondent No. 3 to take decision on the pending representation at the earliest within specified time.
3. On the other hand, learned counsel for the Respondent No. 3 would submit that as the petitioner is not pressing this writ petition on merits and is only seeking direction to the Respondents to take decision on the pending representation, he is not having any objection to the limited prayer. If the representation dated 04.11.2025 is still pending
consideration, it will be considered and decided in accordance with law.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and also perused the documents placed on record.
5. On due consideration of the submission of counsel for the parties, nature of grievance raised by the petitioner as also, the limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner of a direction to the Respondent No. 3 to take decision on the pending representation, this writ petition is disposed of
3 with a direction to the Respondent No. 3 to consider and take decision on the representation submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 02 months from the date of receipt of copy of the order.
6. With the aforesaid observation and directions, this writ petition stands
