This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondent No. 2 not to adopt any coercive measure against the petitioner pursuant to provisional assessment notice dated November 27, 2024. Counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has filed objections to the provisional assessment notice dated November 27, 2024 and the same is pending. Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent states that the objection filed by the petitioner to the notice for provisional assessment, would be decided expeditiously. Accordingly, we direct the respondent No. 2, the Executive Engineer, Electricity Urban Distribution Division, Rambagh, Allahabad, to consider and decide the objections of the petitioner expeditiously and pass an order of final assessment, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from date.
