JUSTICE ALOK JAIN Present: Mr. Akshay Bhan, Senior Advocate, With Mr. Harparteek Singh Sandhu, Advocate, for the petitioner. *** SUDHIR SINGH (ORAL) By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner has sought issuance of an appropriate writ in the nature of certiorari for quashing the communication/letter dated 08.05.2025 (Annexure P-65), whereby demand of Rs.33.57 crores has been raised by the respondents on various heads with regard to the project in question. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already made a representation dated 28.02.2025 (Annexure P-58) to the competent authority, for redressal of its grievances, but no action has been taken thereon till date. Served with the advance copy of the petition, Ms. Arundhati Kulshreshtha, AAG, Punjab, appears on behalf of respondent-State and submits that the said representation/application shall be considered and decided by the competent authority, in accordance with law. 4. Without commenting on merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4-Chief Administrator, GMADA (competent authority) to look into the pending application/representation dated 28.02.2025 (Annexure P-58) in terms of the letter/policy dated 20.02.2025 (Annexure P-56) and pass an appropriate reasoned order thereon, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy/production of this order. Till the decision of the aforesaid representation dated 28.02.2025 (Annexure P-58), no coercive steps be taken in terms of communication/letter dated 08.05.2025 (Annexure P-65), against the petitioner. 5. Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
