The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking setting aside of order dated 28.05.2013 whereby respondent has rejected his claim for the post of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) on compassionate ground. 2. The petitioner’s father was posted as Inspector with Punjab Police. He passed away on 09.12.2008 in harness. The petitioner applied for the post of ASI. The respondent rejected his claim and offered him post of Constable. He preferred writ petition before this Court which was disposed of with a direction to respondent to consider petitioner’s claim for the post of ASI. The respondent by impugned order has again rejected his claim. 3. Learned State counsel submits that petitioner accepted post of Constable and joined service. 4.
