JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA) 1. The petitioners are before this Court seeking the following prayer: a. “A writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent authority to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 10-1-2025 vide Annexure-G and direct the respondent authority to release the compensation as awarded under award bearing no.laq.sr.3.99-2000 vide Annexure-F passed by the respondent. b. Grant any other relief/s deemed fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. Heard Sri.Praveeen P. Tarikar, learned counsel for the petitioners. 3. The lands of the petitioners were acquired on 16.05.2000, and they were granted only meagre compensation. The petitioners thereafter submitted a representation contending that the compensation awarded is grossly inadequate, particularly when compared to the compensation granted in respect of adjacent lands. However, the said representation has not yet merited consideration. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC-D:16832 WP No. 109045 of 2025 4. In that light, the learned HCGP submits that the representation of the petitioners would be considered strictly in accordance with law. 5. In view of the petitioners approaching this Court after an inordinate delay, I deem it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the representation, as it concerns the right to property of the petitioners and the alleged inadequacy of compensation. Such consideration shall be made within an outer limit of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6. Ordered accordingly.
