Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Hariharganj P.S. Case No. 175 of 2024, N.D.P.S. Case No.33 of 2024, for the offence registered under Sections 8B and 18 of N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge, Palamau.
On 18.12.2024 at about 08:00 a.m, Hariharganj Police, on the basis of confidential information destructed poppy cultivation at a place in Bichalitanr, Badhar Nala.
From perusal of the F.I.R., it appears that on the basis of information given by local persons whose names have not been disclosed, the land, in which poppy was cultivated, belongs to Niraj Singh and the petitioner and other co-accused persons were also involved in cultivating poppy in his land. It further appears that the land does not belong to the petitioner and the etitioner has been implicated on the basis of information given by the local persons, whose names have not been disclosed.
Considering the aforesaid fact, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge, Palamau, in connection with Hariharganj P.S.
