JUDGMENT The petitioner has approached this Court seeking expeditious disposal of Ext.P1 appeal filed by the petitioner under the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959, against an
order rejecting his application for grant of arms licence for an additional weapon.
2. The learned Government Pleader submits that there is no objection in a direction being issued to the respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 in accordance with the law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this
judgment.
3. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader and having regard to the limited nature of relief sought for by the petitioner, this writ petition will stand disposed of, directing the respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P1 appeal, in accordance with the law, after affording
2025:KER:27640 WP(C) 13259/2025 3 an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other necessary parties, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. I make it clear that I have not expressed any opinion on the merits of the matter, and it will be open to the respondent to consider the matter in accordance with the law, as directed above.
