Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondent and perused the record. 3. The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the prayer to direct Commissioner, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh/Respondent no. 2 to decide the Appeal No. 261/A, Computerized Case No. C202115000001031-Ram Bachan Vs. District Magistrate, Azamgarh District Azamgarh, under section 18 Indian Arms Act, pending before him, expeditiously. 4. It appears from perusal of records that against the order dated 23.03.2020 passed by the respondent no. 3, the aforesaid appeal was filed by the petitioner. The aforesaid appeal was dismissed in default, thereafter, the aforesaid order was recalled and now as per the instructions under the signatures of respondent no. 2 the next date fixed in the matter is 16.05.2025. 5. In this view of the matter and also in the interest of justice, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/Commissioner, Azamgarh Division, Azamgarh to decide the aforesaid appeal expeditiously but without granting any unnecessary adjournment to any of the parties, if there is no legal impediment, in case the aforesaid appeal is not decided on 16.05.2025.
