The petitioner, who is the Headman of Sada Lungthar village, Kangpokpi District, Manipur approached this Court for direction to Respondent No.6, the Divisional Forest Officer, Kamjong Forest Division, Kamjong, Government of Manipur to dispose the representation dated 19.12.2024 submitted by the petitioner by a speaking order within a stipulated time. It is the case of the petitioner that his village has been wrongly included as forest area and in this respect, petitioner submitted representation to make correction. It is stated that the representation is still pending. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition may be disposed of at this stage by directing respondent No.6 to consider and pass speaking order with respect to the pending representation submitted by the petitioner. Mr.Sukumar, learned Government Advocate and Mr.Kh.Tarunkumar, learned senior counsel for respondent No.4 have no objection in passing any innocuous direction to respondent No.6 for disposing the representation. Recording the submissions made at the Bar, the writ petition is disposed of by directing respondent No.6 to dispose of the pending representation dated 19.12.2024 submitted by the petitioner by a speaking order as per Rule, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court does not express any opinion on the merit of the case.
