JUSTICE M.A. CHOWDHARY, JUDGE O R D E R 26-03-2025 Today when the matter was taken up, it has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he has filed an application seeking withdrawal of WP(C) PIL No.01 of 2015 (earlier registered as WP(C) No.76/2025 pending adjudication before this Court. On perusal of the file, it transpires that the petitioner had filed this writ Petition no.76/2025 before the learned Single Judge, whereby the petitioner had sought various reliefs from the private respondents and upon consideration of the matter, the learned Single Judge deemed it proper to entertain the said matter as a Public Interest Litigation in pursuance of order dated 10-02-2025 and thereafter listed for regular hearing on 02-04- 2025. It has been further submitted that in view of subsequent developments and after enquiring further taking note the sequence of events and the procedure followed by the private respondents, the petitioner is not interested to pursue the above titled PIL and seeks withdrawal of all the claims (8 crore compensation), allegations and other Shameem Hamid Mir 2025.04.02 10:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document reliefs sort or alleged against the private respondents as all issues between the parties stands resolved and settled. While going through the file, it reveals that notice was issued to respondents on 03-03-2025. The grievance projected by the petitioners seems to be of private dispute and the reliefs claimed by the petitioners in this PIL, as such, cannot be granted nor petitioner has shown any interest to continue with the proceedings in the said matter and therefore seeks withdrawal of WP(C) PIL N.01/2015 on the grounds mentioned supra. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, we deem it appropriate to close the proceedings in this PIL as the dispute seems to be private in nature, as such, cannot be adjudicated upon.
