This appeal under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 has been preferred by the appellant herein/claimant seeking enhancement in the amount of compensation, challenging the impugned award dated 28-9- 2022 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Balod, District Balod in Claim Case No.15/2021, whereby the learned Claims Tribunal has awarded a total sum of ₹ 48,000/- as compensation for the injuries suffered by the appellant herein/claimant, who was aged about 15 years at the time of incident. 2. ₹ 48,000/- has been awarded, as the appellant herein/injured suffered injuries on left hand and chest. Though no doctor has been examined, but considering the other heads, the compensation awarded is on lower side. Therefore, in sum and substance, an additional amount of ₹ 30,000/- is awarded as compensation to the appellant herein/ claimant/injured over and above the earlier amount of compensation already granted, along with an interest @ 9% per annum from the date of filing of claim application before the Tribunal i.e. 7-1-2021 till its realisation. 3.
