Learned counsel appearing for respondents submits that the detenu was detained under the provisions of Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act 1988 vide Detention Order No. DIVCOM –‘K’/01/2024 dated 04.01.2024. The maximum period of detention under the Act is of one year, which period has already expired. Therefore, this writ petition has become infructuous and is, accordingly
disposed of.
