This is a bail application U/S.483 of BNSS by the petitioner for grant of bail in connection with Nikirai PS Case No.268 of 2025 corresponding to ST Case No.55 of 2025 (GR Case No.371 of 2025) pending in the file of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, Kendrapara, for commission of offences punishable U/Ss.80/85/103/3(5) of BNS r/w Section 4 of DP Act, on the main allegation of committing murder and dowry death of his wife by subjecting her to torture and cruelty for demand of dowry. 3. Heard, Mr. Deepak Kumar Sahoo, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. M.R. Patra, learned Additional Public Prosecutor in the matter and perused the record. 4. After having considered the rival submissions and taking into consideration the nature and gravity of the offences as alleged against the petitioner vis-à-vis the allegation sought to be brought against him and p. 2 regard being had to the materials placed on record together with death of the deceased just three months after the marriage and there being allegation against the petitioner for subjecting the deceased to torture and cruelty for demand of dowry and the deceased dying unnaturally in the house of the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. 5. Hence, the bail application of the petitioner stands rejected. Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of.
