This petition, purportedly in public interest, has been filed seeking to question the re-location of the Regional Transport Office at Fatehgarh, District Farrukhabad. 2. Submissions have been made that Regional Transport Office is being shifted to a distant place, from Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad to Tajpur Road, Mohammadabad, Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad and several available alternative vacant locations have been indicated where office can be set up. 3. Instructions have been produced that the land in question was allotted in the year 2020 and ever since the work of setting up the office is going on and already a sum of Rs. 384.50 lakhs has been spent. Further indications have been made that as heavy and very heavy vehicles frequent to Regional Transport Office, it is not possible for the office to continue to function at the present place and/or set up the office at the place suggested by the petitioner. 4. In view of above fact situation, wherein the land in question was allotted five years back and 30% of the construction is already over, we do not find any reason to entertain the present petition, purportedly in public interest, the same is, therefore, dismissed.
