The matter is amicably settled between the parties. Bikash Jyoti Brahma, claimant, herein, and the respondents Cholamandalam General Insurance Company Limited, represented by Mr. Kaifi Anam, DM, and Mr. Gautam Pradhan, AM, are present before the Court today. The claimant is represented by Mr. A. Bhattacharyya. Page No.# 2/2 It is submitted by both the claimant and the Insurance Company’s representatives that this matter is settled between the parties at an additional amount of Rs. 3,77,384/-. It is to be noted that the Insurance Company had already released an amount of Rs. 2,77,384/- to the claimant. The Insurance Company shall deposit the balance amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- within a period of 45 days from today before the Registry of the Gauhati High Court. Failure to deposit the above-noted amount within the stipulated time by the Insurance Company, the above amount would carry an interest @ 7% from the date of filing of the claim petition before the learned Tribunal. The said amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- shall be released to the claimant, herein, by the Registry of the Gauhati High Court upon furnishing of adequate documents for his identification as well as the particulars of his Bank Account. The appeal, accordingly, stands disposed of in terms of the amicable settlement reached between the parties. The compromise format signed by the parties is kept on record.
