Side) ****** O R D E R This writ petition has been filed seeking order, directing the second respondent to grant police protection to the petitioner temples for performing Palalayam function on 23.05.2025 and 09.06.2025 as per the orders of the third respondent dated 06.05.2025 in Na.Ka.No.3702-1/2025/A4, Na.Ka.No.3702-2/2025/A4 and Na.Ka.No.3859-1/2025/A4.
2. The case of the writ petitioner, who is the administrator of Arulmigu Sri Soleeswarar Temple, Arulmigu Sri Alagurayaperumal Temple, Arulmigu Sri Sellandiamman Temple situated at Mallasamudram is that, for better administration of the said temples, scheme has been framed in the
order dated 04.01.1983 by the proceedings of the Deputy Commissioner of https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P. No.18813 of 2025 HR & CE Department, Coimbatore in O.A.No.101 of 1980 and as per the said order, the members from Mallai Vizhia Kulathar Nattu Gounder Community were appointed for administering, conducting poojas and festivals in the said temples.

It is further stated that since for more than 27 years, kumbabishekam and renovation of the said temples have not been performed, the petitioner and others made a detailed request before the third respondent in the month of October 2024 to take appropriate steps for renovation and performing kumbabishekam. Subsequently, the third respondent after obtaining report from the Departments concerned before the State Level Expert Committee and approval from the Expert Committee, passed a resolution on 26.02.2025 for renovation of the said temples. and Na.Ka.No.3859-1/2025/A4 passed an order to perform Palalayam Pooja on 23.05.2025 at about 8:00 p.m. and 10 p.m. for Arulmigu Sri Soleeswarar Temple and Arulmigu Sri Sellandiamman Temple and on 09.06.2025 at about 06:45 p.m. for Arulmigu Sri Alagurayaperumal Temple. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

4. It is further stated that since the Palalayam festival is proposed to be held after 27 long years, the petitioner is expecting that more than 500 devotees would participate in the festival. The petitioner made an application on 14.05.2025 before the respondents 1 and 2 seeking police protection to avoid untoward incident like theft, etc. However, the respondent had not considered the said representation of the petitioner, hence this writ petition.
5. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side).
6. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances and the
order passed by the third respondent dated 06.05.2025, the first and second respondents are directed to provide police protection and security to the petitioner temples for performing Palalayam function on 23.05.2025 and
09.06.2025.
7. In view of the above, this writ petition is disposed of. There https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
