The Criminal Petition No. 12263 of 2025 has been filed under Sections 2. 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNSS’), seeking to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused on bail in Crime No.78 of 2025 of Kothapatnam Police Station, Prakasam District, registered against the Petitioner/Accused herein for the offences punishable under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for brevity ‘the IPC’). The Criminal Petition No. 12264 of 2025 has been filed under Sections 3. 480 and 483 of the ‘the BNSS’, seeking to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused on bail in Crime No.40 of 2025 of Ongole Taluk Police Station, Prakasam District registered against the Petitioner/Accused herein for the offences punishable under Sections 304, 328 and 380 of ‘the IPC’. The Criminal Petition No. 12268 of 2025 has been filed under Sections 4. 480 and 483 of the ‘the BNSS’, seeking to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused on bail in Crime No. 144 of 2024 of Ongole II Town Police Station, Prakasam District, registered against the Petitioner/Accused herein for the offences punishable under Sections 305 and 123 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNS’). 5 Dr.YLRJ Crl.P.Nos.12263,12264, 12268 8, 12270 of 2025 Dated 30.12.2025 The Criminal Petition No. 12270 of 2025 has been filed under Sections 5. 480 and 483 of the ‘the BNSS’, seeking to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused on bail in Crime No.718 of 2024 of Ongole Taluk Police Station, Prakasam District, registered against the Petitioner/Accused herein for the offences punishable under Sections123, 305(a), 331(4) of‘the BNS’. 6. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Perused the record. 7. As seen from the record, some of the offences are of the year 2021, some of the offences are of the year 2024, and some of the offences are of the year 2025. The petitioner was arrested on 22.01.2025. She has been in judicial custody for the past 342 days. The offences are not punishable either with imprisonment for life or with death. The petitioner is a female. The role of the petitioner came into light based on her confession before the police. No application was filed seeking custodial interrogation of the petitioner, and the period for filing an application for police custody is also completed. The learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that there are another 8. four similar adverse antecedents reported against the petitioner, namely; (1) Cr. No. 130 of 2024 of Ongole I Town Police Station; (2) Cr. No. 03 of 2025 of Ongole II Town Police Station; (3) Cr. No. 342 of 2021 of Ongole I Town Police Station; and (4) Cr. No. 07 of 2025 of Tangutur Police Station. The petitioner is a permanent resident of Balaji Nagar, Ongole. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the nature and 9. gravity of allegations levelled against the Petitioner/Accused, this Court is inclined to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused on bail. In the result, these four Criminal Petitions are allowed with the following 10. stringent conditions: The Petitioner/Accused shall be enlarged on bail subject to I. her executing bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned Jurisdictional Court concerned. The Petitioner/Accused shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned, on every Saturday in between 10:00 am and 05:00 pm, till filing of the charge sheet. The Petitioner/Accused shall not leave the limits of the State of Andhra Pradesh without prior permission from the Station House Officer concerned. The Petitioner/Accused shall not commit or indulge in IV. commission of any offence in future.
