1 NAFR HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH AT BILASPUR MCC No. 1127 of 2025 1 - Mukhya Prabandhak (Karmik/ss) South Eastern Coalfields Limited Seepat Road, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur (C.G.) ... Applicant versus 1 - Mohammad Rizwan S/o Lal Mohammad Aged About 39 Years R/o Kachhi Mohalla, Ward No. 16, Dhanpuri, District - Shahdol (M.P.) ... Respondent(s) For Applicant : Mr. Pankaj Agrawal, Advocate For Respondent : Mr. Syed Afaque Hussain Rizvi, Advocate Hon'ble Shri Justice Sachin Singh Rajput Order On Board 20.11.2025 1. This MCC has been filed for seeking 60 days time to comply the order dated 25.02.2025 Annexure ‘A’ passed in WPS No. 1279/2014. 2. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the respondent has filed W.P.(S) No. 1279/2014, which was finally disposed of by this Hon’ble Court on 25.02.2025 with a direction to consider the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment on the basis of the recommendation contained in Annexure P/2 within 30 days from the date of receipt of the order. The applicant has diligently processed the petitioner’s case; however, since the matter pertains to the year 2014 and the writ petition was decided only on HIFZURRAHMAN ANSARI Digitally signed by HIFZURRAHMAN ANSARI Date: 2025.11.24 17:26:29 +0530 2 25.02.2025, several communications were required to be made with the concerned departments. He further submits that in compliance, the proposal for grant of compassionate appointment to the petitioner has already been forwarded to the General Manager (भा.ाሲ./्ቦ-010), SECL, Bilaspur (C.G.) on 12.08.2025, as reflected in Annexure-B. The complete proposal file has now been submitted to the Head Office, Bilaspur, for approval. The approval process at the Head Office is likely to take approximately 60 days for issuance of the compassionate appointment order. Therefore, he humbly prays that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to grant an extension of 60 days’ time to enable the applicant to fully comply with the order dated 25.02.2025. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent opposes the submissions made by the counsel for the applicant. 4. In view of the submission made by the applicant that the proposal for compassionate appointment has already been forwarded to the competent authority and the remaining process requires further time for completion, and considering that the original writ petition pertains to the year 2014 and suffers from substantial delay, therefore, this Court is not inclined to extend the time. 5. Accordingly, the MCC is dismissed. Sd/- (Sachin Singh Rajput) Judge H.Ansari
