This matter is being taken up in National Lok Adalat held on 10th May, 2025. 5. The applicant has filed this application under Section 528 of BNSS, 2023, for quashing the entire proceedings of the Criminal Case No.4572 of 2023, “State of Uttarakhand Vs. Surendra Singh Kapkoti” registered under Sections 323, 506 and 498A of IPC, and under Sections 2 & 3 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 pending in the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Haldwani, District Nainital. 6. Today, the applicant and the respondent no.2 are present. Both the parties submit that now the matter has been settled between them, and mutual divorce decree was also passed in favour of the applicant and respondent no.2, and they do not want to pursue the matter. To verify this fact, a compromise deed entered between the parties before “National Lok Adalat” is also annexed. 7.
