ORAL ORDER (PER: THE HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE SURAJ GOVINDARAJ)
1. Learned AGA accepts notice for respondents No.1 to
3.
2. The Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs; a. A writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent No.3 to issue a Certificate of Vanshavali/Genologhy of Rajavva, by name Durgappa, Hulagavva, Duragvva, Yallavva, Yamanavva, Holiyavva Hanumantappa, Basappa @ Rangadappa.
b. Issue any other writ or direction, which this Hon’ble Court deems fit under the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner had submitted an application on 20.09.2022 for issuance of Genology Certificate of one Rajavva D/o Konavva Madar alias Benakanadoni, instead of issuing the Genology Certificate a Legal Heirs Certificate has been issued by the respondent. Despite the petitioner having approached the

respondent to issue the Genology Certificate, no action has been taken. It is in that background that the petitioner is before this Court seeking for the aforesaid relief.
4. An application, if filed for a particular purpose is required to be considered for that purpose and necessary certificate has to be issued. An application having been filed for Genology Certificate, a legal heir’s certificate could not have been issued.
5. In that view of the matter, I pass the following;
ORDER i. The writ petition is partly-allowed. ii. A mandamus is issued, directing respondent No.3 to consider the application submitted by the petitioner and pass necessary orders on the said application, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
