Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned AGA for the State and perused the record. 2. By means of the present writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.2, District Magistrate, District Kasganj to consider and decide the Case No. 849 of 2024, Computerized Case No. D2024187500000849 (State Vs. Sanjay Kumar), filed under Section 15 (1) of the Uttar Pradesh Gangster and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, 1986 within a stipulated period of time. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the application under Section 15(1) of the Gangster Act filed by the petitioner on 8.8.2024 before the respondent no.2, District Magistrate, Kasganj, has not been decided till date. 4. Learned AGA submits that every possible effort shall be made to decide the application expeditiously 5. Without going into the merits of the case, we direct that the District Magistrate, Kasganj to decide the application of the petitioner filed on 8.8.2024 under Section 15 (1) within a period of fifteen days from the date of the production of a certified copy of this order. 5.
