Under an interim order passed in this writ petition on 14.01.2025, respondent No.2-HPPSC was
directed to consider the candidature of the petitioner against Scheduled Caste of H.P. category, if otherwise found eligible in accordance with law.
2.
Respondent No.2-HPPSC accordingly considered
-2-
the candidature of the petitioner against the aforesaid category.
3.
In similar matters listed on 08.04.2025, learned counsel for respondent No.2-HPPSC was directed to produce result of the petitioner in a sealed cover. Petitioner’s result has also been produced before the Court today in a sealed cover and shown to the Court. This result sheet as prepared on 09.04.2025 under the signature of Section Officer Secrecy of respondent No.2-Commission, reflects that the marks obtained by the petitioner in Paper-II are less than the cut-off marks of Paper-II (Scheduled Caste of H.P. category). The result sheet has been handed back to learned counsel for respondent No.2 in a sealed cover.
4.
Since the marks secured by the petitioner in Paper-II are less than the cut-off marks for the Scheduled Caste of H.P. category, this writ petition is disposed of having become infructuous. The questions of law raised are, however, left open for adjudication. Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
