GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a writ ,order or orders one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 3rd to 6th respondents are calling the petitioner to the police station without any reason and settle the financial matter with the 7th respondent in the presence of 8th respondent as illegal, arbitrary, violative of Article 21 of the Constitution of India and misuse of powers vested with the office of the 3rd respondent and consequently direct the 3rd to 6th respondents not to summon and not to interfere with the financial matters in the interest of the justice.” 2. Heard Sri Sapthagiri Metta, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that a case in Crime No.359 of 2025 has been registered against the petitioner for the offences punishable under Sections 318(2) and 316(5) read with Section 3(5) of the BNS. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that the matter is under investigation and, for the purpose of investigation, the petitioner was called. Except for the same, the police are not interfering in the financial dispute, which involves an alleged scam of Rs.7,40,00,000/- 3 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed to follow due process of law regarding the crime which is registered against the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
