For Petitioner(s): Mr.Gouthaman For Respondent(s): Mr.Leonard Arul Joseph Selvam Government Advocate (Crl.side) https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRL OP No. 15374 of 2025 ORDER The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 417, 420 of IPC or 318(2) and 318(4) of BNS Act, 2023 in Crime No.9 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The prosecution case is that the 1 st accused had a romantic relationship with the complainant and allegedly administrated an anesthetic tablet to her without consent, leading to a physical relationship under the promise of marriage in 2023. When the promise was reneged, the complainant filed a complaint. The petitioner (5 th accused), a close friend of the 1 st accused, is alleged to have instigated and abetted the offence. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent condition that may be imposed by this Court. He would submit that the 1 st accused had a romantic relationship with the complainant and allegedly administrated an anesthetic tablet to her without consent, leading to a physical relationship under the promise of marriage in 2023. When the promise was reneged, the complainant filed a complaint. The petitioner (5 th accused), a close friend of the 1 st accused, is alleged to have instigated and abetted the offence. 5.
