I.M.S PRAKASH The Court made the following: COMMON ORDER: The instant petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C has been filed by the Petitioner / Accused No.1, seeking quashment of the proceedings against him in S.C.No.200 of 2023 on the file of the Court of V Additional District and 2 Sessions Judge-cum-Mahila Sessions Judge, Vijayawada for the offences under Sections 498-A and 307 read with 34 IPC. 2. I.A.Nos.1 to 3 of 2025 are filed by Respondent No.2/De facto complainant seeking permission to compound the offences and compromise the matter with the Petitioner. 3. Petitioner / Accused No.1 appeared before the Court through Video Conference and Respondent No.2, physically appeared before this Court and were identified by their respective learned counsel. Copies of their Aadhar cards attested by their respective counsel are filed for proper identification. 4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor is in attendance. 5. Both parties would submit that they came to an amicable settlement and Petitioner and Respondent No.2 started living together and filed a joint memo to that effect for withdrawal of the present case pending between them. Respondent No.2 would submit that, at the instance of the elders, the differences between her and her husband i.e., Petitioner herein are amicably resolved and in that view, they started living together along with their children. In that view, she prays for quashment of the case against the Petitioner / Accused No.1. 6. Considering the submissions, in the light of the judgment of the Hon’ble Apex Court in Gian Singh vs. State of Punjab and another1, in view of the compromise entered into between the parties, since there is an amicable settlement between them, I.A.Nos.1 to 3 of 2025 are allowed.
