Hon'ble Prakash Padia,J. 1.The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition inter-alia with the prayer to direct the respondent no.3/Assistant Development Officer (Panchayat) Jawan, District Aligarh to decide the petitioner's application dated 24.02.2025 for correction in family register within time bound period and direct him to issue a correct copy to the petitioner. 2. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that though the application was submitted by the petitioner on 24.02.2025 to make necessary corrections in the family register under the U.P. Panchayat Raj (Maintenance of Family Registers) Rules, 1970 but till date no decision has been taken on the same. 3. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents contended that respondent no.3 will take a decision in the matter expeditiously. 4. Heard learned counsel for the parties. 5. With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the writ petition is being disposed of at the admission stage itself. 6. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction to respondent no.3 to take a decision on the application dated 24.02.2025 preferred by the petitioner within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order, strictly in accordance with law.
