1. The petitioner who was working as Sales Tax inspector in the respondent department has filed this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India assailing the order dated 20-8-2025 passed by the respondent No.2/The Commissioner, Department of Commercial Tax, Raipur by which he has been suspended from service and against the suspension order the petitioner has preferred an appeal before the respondent No.1/Secretary, Commercial Tax Department, Raipur on 21-8-2025 which is still pending.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be issued to the respondent No.1 to consider and decide the appeal within stipulated period, in accordance with law.
3. Prayer seems to be just and proper.
4. Accordingly, the appellate authority ie., respondent No.1/Secretary, Commercial Tax Department, Raipur, is directed to consider and decide the appeal of the petitioner, in accordance with law within a period of thirty days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not decided. Sd/-
