17.11.2025 Court No.28 Item No.39 tbsr Reject CRM (A) 3514 of 2025 In Re: - An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Jiaganj P.S. Case No.108 of 2025 dated 19.03.2025 under Sections 126(2)/118(2)/109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. And In the matter of: Tapash Mondal @ Sujit @ Tapesh Mondal ….Petitioner. Mr. Somnath Adhikary Md. Abdur Rakib Mr. Biswajit Sarkar Md. Mojahid Mehedi ….for the petitioner Mr. Saibal Bapuli Mr. Debanshu Ghorai …..for the State Heard the learned counsels for the parties. Perused the case diary. It is the prosecution case that the petitioner made the victim get intoxicated and then he brutally assaulted him on various parts of his body. Multiple cut and lacerated injuries were there, which required several stitches at different parts. Considering the incriminating materials available in the case diary including the injury report and the statement of the victim, I do not consider this to be a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected. (Jay Sengupta, J.)
