The Court made the following: :: ORDER :: The above contempt case has been filed, complaining of a violation of the order dated 13.09.2023, passed in W.P. No. 14105 of 2021. 2. Heard learned counsel appearing on either side. 3. The petitioner filed the aforementioned writ petition to declare the action of respondents 2 to 4 in including his land in the list of prohibitory properties under Section 22A(1) of the Registration Act, 1908, as illegal and arbitrary. 4. The said writ petition was disposed of 13.09.2023, giving liberty to the petitioner to make an application to the District Collector as per G.O.Ms.No.300, dated 05.07.2016, within a period of three (03) weeks from that day by annexing necessary documents and further directed the District Collector to dispose of the application, in accordance with law, within six weeks. 5. In the affidavit filed in support of the contempt case, it was pleaded that the respondent authorities have violated the order dated 13.09.2023. 6. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that, pending the contempt case, a speaking order vide Rc.No.E2/2268/2023, dated 17.12.2024, has been passed by the authority. Since a speaking order has been passed by the authorities on 17.12.2024, this Court does not find any violation of the order dated 13.09.2023, passed in W.P.No.14105 of 2021, and the contempt case is liable to be dismissed. 8. Given the facts and circumstances of the case, the Contempt Case is dismissed. No order as to costs.
