As common issues are involved in the captioned petitions, with the consent of both sides, the same are hereby disposed of by this common
order. For the sake of brevity and convenience, facts are borrowed from CWP-13870-2016.

The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are seeking setting aside of order dated 17.03.2015 (Annexure P-5) whereby they have been denied appointment.

There is dispute between the parties with respect to degrees from universities which are located beyond territorial jurisdiction of State of Punjab.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that on 04.04.2024, the matter was adjourned on the statement of State counsel to the effect that issue involved in the present petition is pending before a Division Bench of this Court in LPA No.1843 of 2019. Said LPA was heard along with a bunch of other LPAs and came to adjudicated vide judgment dated 09.04.2025. As the issue stands settled, the present petition may also be disposed of.

On being confronted with judgment dated 09.04.2025 passed by Division Bench of this Court in LPA No.1843 of 2019, Mr. Chanchal K. Singla, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, expressed his inability to distinguish facts and issues of present petition from aforesaid LPA.

Order dated 04.04.2024 passed by this Court reads as under: -
“Learned State counsel submits that the issue as involved in the present case is pending adjudication before the Division Bench in LPA-1843-2019.
List after the decision in the aforesaid LPA.”

A Division Bench of his Court vide judgment dated 09.04.2025 in LPA No.1843 of 2019 has adjudicated a bunch of appeals whereby State Government has been asked to decide claim of appellants therein without considering the cut-off dates and noticing observations of the Court.

In the wake of statements of both sides, the present petitions stand disposed of in terms of judgment dated 09.04.2025 in LPA No.1843 of
2019.

Pending application(s), if any, shall stand disposed of.
