1. On the last date of hearing, the submission of the petitioner was recorded that the respondent no.1/MCD has only removed back side pillars of the subject property. However, the pillars of the front side still exist. Accordingly, the respondent no.1/MCD was directed to carry out a fresh inspection and take action in accordance with law.
2. A fresh status report dated 12th August, 2026 has been handed over in Court by the respondent no.1/MCD.
2.1. The said status report is taken on record.
3. In terms of the said status report, action was taken by MCD on 27th July, 2026 wherein the MCD demolished/cut down all the front and back side RCC columns. Photographs of the demolition action has been filed along with action report (Annexure-B to the status report).
4. The status report further states that a fresh watch and ward letter dated This is a digitally signed order. W.P.(C) 7115/2025 10th August, 2026 has been sent to the SHO, Vasant Kunj to keep a strict vigil so that the demolished portions are not reconstructed (Annexure-C to the status report).
5. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is satisfied with the action taken.
6. Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondent no.3 not to carry out any unauthorised construction in the subject property.
7. Pending application stands disposed of.
