GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a Writ Order or direction, particularly, one in the nature of a writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of Respondent No.3 in not investigating FIR No. 204/2025, registered on 24.04.2025 at Bhavanipuram Police Station. Till date, no effective steps have been taken by Respondent No. 3 to investigate the offence or to secure theaccused. Such inaction is illegal, arbitrary, violative of their statutory duties, and infringes the Petitioners fundamental rights guaranteed under Articles 14 and 21 of the constitution of India and Consequently, direct Respondent No.3 to complete the investigation in FIR No. 2 204 of 2025, registered on 24.04.2025 at Bhavanipuram Police Station, and to take necessary steps in accordance with law” 2. Heard Sri Alla Tarun Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that a direction may be given to the respondent/police to conclude the investigation in Crime No.204 of 2025 and file a final report. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 5. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, Police are directed to conclude the investigation in the above crime and file a report in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
