No.32274 OF 2025 Date of order:20.11.2025 THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION No.32274 OF 2025 ORDER: 1. The petitioner aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not processing and granting disability pension to him in spite of the clear PGRS endorsement dated 28.08.2024 issued by the 3rd respondent. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have denied the disability pension to the petitioner, for which he is eligible. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner has been issued a disability certificate indicating 40% disability by the competent Medical Officer, was also issued an identity card duly certifying his disability, and as such, the petitioner would be entitled to the disability pension. As the petitioner was not receiving his disability pension, he submitted an application before the public grievance redressal system on 21.12.2023 seeking a direction to the respondents to release the disability pension. 3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent has placed on record the written instructions. The instructions would indicate that the respondents are not disputing the 40% disability of the petitioner. It is also stated that the release of new pensions has been pending with the Government since the year 2023 and that the 3rd respondent will take immediate action once new pensions are sanctioned by the Government. -3- W.P. Considering the submissions and taking note of the instructions received by the 3rd respondent, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the 3rd respondent to release the pension due payable to the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
