1. By the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction towards the respondent authorities to release the claim of the petitioner towards the work assigned to him by respondent No.2/ Executive Engineer (PWD), Sub-Division Champa for installation of tent in Shivrinarayan Mela Ground and Circuit House, Janjgir Champa.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner has completed the work assigned to him as directed by the Executive Engineer, for installation of tent in the said place and thereafter, the Executive Engineer, vide Communication dated 26/05/2021 (Annexure P/4) issued to the respondent No.3/ Superintending Engineer requested for allotment of fund for payment towards the installation of tent but till date no payment has been made towards the bill raised by the petitioner.

Learned counsel appearing for the State submits that the claim of the petitioner will be duly verified and examined by the respondent authorities and after due verification, if the amount is found undisputed, the same shall be released to the petitioner within the stipulated time.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, the respondent No.2/Competent authority is directed to
3 / 3 make a verification of the claim raised by the petitioner and the undisputed amount claimed by the petitioner be released within a period of 50 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with law.
