Through the present Writ Petition, the Petitioner seeks issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, to set aside the seizure of two gold bars, which were detained pursuant to the Detention Receipt dated 31.07.2021. 2. During the pendency of the present Writ Petition, an order dated 06.06.2023 has been passed confiscating the gold belonging to the Petitioner. The Petitioner has an efficacious remedy of challenging the said order by way of an appeal. Since seizure of goods is only an interim measure and the final order of confiscation has already been passed in the present case, no further orders are warranted in respect of the seizure. 3. Accordingly, the Petitioner, if so advised, may avail the appropriate appellate remedy against the order dated 06.06.2023. This is a digitally signed order.
