ORDER: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:
“….to issue a Writ, direction or order or orders, more particularly one in nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS, declaring the actions of Respondent authorities in not acting upon proceedings dtd. 31-01-2024, 26-08-2025 and 03.09.2025 for rectification of names in revenue records for the land of petitioner of extent Ac 2-45 cents in Sy. No.389- 3, Pyadindi Village, Chennekothapalli Mandal, Sri Satya Sai District, as illegal, arbitrary, contrary to provision of the Andhra Pradesh Rights in land and Pattadar passbooks Act, 1971 and rules, and violative of Article 14, 21 and 300A of the Constitution and consequently direct the respondent authorities to rectify the revenue records of land of petitioner of extent Ac 2-45 cents in Sy. No.389-3, Pyadindi village, Chennekothapalli Mandal, Sri Satya Sai District by mutating the name of petitioner….”
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3. The case of the petitioner is that originally, the land to an extent of Ac.5.21 cents in Survey No.389-2, Pyadindi Village,

Chennekotha Palli Mandal was assigned to the great grandfather of the petitioner. After his death, the assigned land was devolved upon the grandfather of the petitioner and his name was reflected in revenue records. After the death of the grandfather of the petitioner, his father inherited a share of an extent of Ac.2.45 cents and continued possession. After his death, the petitioner inherited the property. However, the name of respondent of No.5 was wrongly entered in the revenue records in respect of the said land. Therefore, the petitioner made an application for mutation of his name in the revenue records as he acquired the rights under inheritance. Based on the same, the 4th respondent - Tahsildar has enquired the matter and submitted a report to the 3rd respondent - Revenue Divisional Officer on 31.01.2024. The 3rd respondent has considered the same and issued an endorsement by giving enjoyment sketch considering the possession of the petitioner. But, the 3rd respondent has not passed any orders despite the report submitted by the 4th respondent on 31.01.2024. Hence, the present writ petition.
4. Considering the said submissions, the Writ Petition is
disposed of directing the 3rd respondent to consider the report

submitted by the 4th respondent on 31.01.2024 and pass appropriate orders by issuing notice to all concerned within a period of two (2) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this
