HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE WASIM SADIQ NARGAL, JUDGE
ORDER (22.04.2025)
CPSW No. 9900009/2010
01. There was no representation on behalf of the petitioner in the instant contempt petition on the last two dates of hearing, the last being dated 01.05.2010 and today also, when the case was taken up, no one appeared for the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the instant contempt petition any further.
02. The record further reveals that the instant contempt petition has come up before this Court after fifteen years and during this intervening period, no effort has been made on the part of the petitioner to get the instant contempt petition listed, perhaps for the reason that the order stands complied with. Serial No. 60
2 CPSW No. 9900009/2010 c/w SWP No. 2061/2009
03. The proceedings in the instant contempt petition are, accordingly, closed. Rule, if any, shall stand discharged.
SWP No. 2061/2009
04. The record reveals that the instant petition was listed before this Court on 23.11.2009 and the matter has now come up before this Court after fifteen years and even with the efflux of time, the relief which has been prayed for in the instant petition cannot be acceded to in the light of the fact that the ReT Scheme has since been closed and the matter at present, is pending adjudication before the Apex Court.
05. However, on the other hand, the petitioner, through the medium of the instant petition, is seeking quashment of the tentative list of the candidates, who have been selected/engaged as Rebhar-e-Taleem/Teaching Guide for Govt. Girls Middle School, Langotian, wherein the name of the respondent No. 7, who according to the petitioner, possesses inferior qualification and merit, has been approved for selection and appointment, besides seeking a writ of prohibition restraining the respondents from issuing letter of appointment/engagement in favour of the respondent No. 7.
3 CPSW No. 9900009/2010 c/w SWP No. 2061/2009
06. The instant petition with the efflux of time has been rendered infructuous. Accordingly, the same is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
07. Interim direction, if any, shall stand vacated.
