No representation for the applicant though called twice. 2. Mr. R.C. Tamta, learned counsel for respondent. 3. There is no representation for the parties in C- 482 NO. 622 of 2017. 4. Learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the dispute arises out of matrimonial discord between the parties and that the present proceedings, as well as the connected matters, are in the nature of counterblast to each other. It is pointed out that C-482 No. 622 of 2017 has been filed by the applicant–husband challenging the order granting interim maintenance in favour of the wife, whereas C-482 No. 1297 of 2017 has been filed by the wife seeking enhancement of the said interim maintenance. 5. It is further submitted that, in the present case, notices were personally issued to both the applicant and the respondent for appearance before the Daily Lok Adalat on two occasions, vide orders dated 23.08.2014 and 14.10.2024. However, neither party appeared before the Daily Lok Adalat on the aforesaid dates, and even today, there is no appearance on behalf of the applicant. Learned counsel also submits that no interim stay order has been granted in favour of the applicant in this matter. 6. In view of the repeated absence of the applicant despite due notice and there being no cause shown for non-appearance, this Court finds no reason to keep the matter pending.
