IA NO. GA/3/2025 In APOT/406/2024 NATIONAL JUTE BOARD Vs AUCKLAND INTERNATIONAL LIMITED AND ANR
BEFORE :
THE HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE T.S SIVAGNANAM -A N D- HON'BLE JUSTICE HIRANMAY BHATTACHARYYA DATE : 20th May, 2025. Appearance : Mr. Pradip Kr. Sarawagi, Adv. …for respondents/writ petitioners.
The Court: - This application has been filed for extension of time by two months for compliance of the order dated 22.1.2025. The period of two months sought for already expired in March, 2025. Therefore, technically the prayer sought for in the application, has become infructuous. However, considering the communication addressed by the National Jute Board to the Secretary (Textiles), Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, we find that permission has been sought for to utilise the fixed deposit amount for payment to the writ petitioner in terms of the order till the actual amount is granted on the heading of additional expenses of the National Jute Textile. This permission has been sought for by letter dated 22.3.2025 addressed to the Under-Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi. It is not clear as to whether such permission has been granted. In any event, as a last chance, we extend the time to comply with the direction by a period of one month from the date of receipt of the server copy of this order. .
