Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Perused the record. 3. As seen from the record, the allegation against the petitioner is that he, along with five other accused, extorted an amount of Rs.13,50,000/- from the de facto complainant. There are specific overt acts attributed to the petitioner. The petitioner/Accused No.3 is a suspect sheet holder bearing No.187 of II Town Police Station, Kakinada. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that some more amount is yet to be recovered. There are nine adverse antecedents reported against the petitioner, namely: Cr.No.6 of 2024, Cr.No.54 of 2014, Cr.No.23 of 2014, Cr.No.106 of 2013, Cr.No.16 of 2014, Cr.No.58 of 2014, Cr.No.60 3 Dr. YLR, J Crl.P.No.10837 of 2025 Dated 27.10.2025 of 2014, Cr.No.24 of 2014, and Cr.No.411 of 2019. In those cases, the petitioner was convicted. Only two witnesses have been examined, and the investigation is still at a budding stage. However, the petitioner has not approached the learned Sessions Judge concerned in the first instance but has directly approached this Court without establishing any special or extraordinary circumstances. 4. Considering the gravity and nature of the allegations leveled against the petitioner/accused No.3, this Court is not inclined to grant pre-arrest bail to the petitioner/accused No.3. 5. In the result, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _______________________ DR. Y.
