Heard Sri Himanshu Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.1, 4 & 5 and Sri Kunal Ravi Singh, learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 & 3. 2. The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayer:- i) to issue a writ, order, or direction in the nature of mandamus for compliance with the impugned order dated 17.02.2025 passed by the Uttar Pradesh Information Commissioner, Room No. 07, and to direct respondent Nos. 03, 04 and 05 to provide complete information to the petitioner. ii) to issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no. 03, 04 and 05 to pay compensation to the petitioner for mental agony that done to the petitioner due to his act under right to information act 2005 section 19 (8)(B). 3. After some arguments, leaned counsel for the petitioner confined his prayer only to the prayer No.1. 4. Facts in brief as contained in the writ petition are that since the information sought by the petitioner has not been provided by the Public Information Officer (Basic Education Office) Basti, the petitioner has filed appeal before the Appellate Authority and the Appellate Authority vide its order dated 17.02.2025 directed the Public Information Officer (Basic Education Office) Basti/respondent No.4 to provide the information as sought by the petitioner in his application dated 16.10.2023 within a week. 5. It is argued by learned counsel for the petitioner that considerable time has already been lapsed but till date no information has been provided. 6. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 7. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to submit a representation/application along with necessary papers and documents as well as certified copy of this order within two weeks from today before the Public Information Officer (Basic Education Office) Basti/respondent No.4. In case, the petitioner do so, the respondent No.4 will provide necessary information to the petitioner as per order dated 17.02.2025 passed by the Appellate Authority expeditiously.
