JUSTICE JAYANT BANERJI) Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the order under review is illegal as cost has been wrongly awarded. 3. It is his contention that at a preliminary stage of the writ petition, this cost cannot be imposed. There is no error apparent on the face of the record that would merit review of the judgment. 4. As far as the aspect of cost is concerned, we find that the reasons are mentioned in the order itself in respect of which, the cost has been imposed. However, under the facts - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:39013-DB RP No. 401 of 2025 and circumstances we deem it fit to reduce the cost payable from Rs.1,00,000/- to Rs.5,000/-.
