THIS WP IS FILED UNDER ARTICLE 226 OF THE CONSTITUITON OF INDIA PRAYING TO A) GRANT A WRIT OF CERTIORARI AND QUASH THE ORDER DATED 14.08.2025 BEARING NO. ADM 7.AP.10/25-26 (E- 1878089) HRICE-LAWOLAW3/38/2025-LAWEND-HRICE PASSED BY THE RESPONDENT NO.2 AT ANNEXURE-A.
THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER:
CORAM:

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32853 WP No. 25674 of 2025
stay of such rotation. The petitioner is thus restricted from offering services to the deity. Sri Mahesh, the learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner's family gets a turn to offer services to the deity 3 months in every 2 years; within the family, the petitioner gets eleven days turn with the other family members taking similar turns and the petitioner's family members together offer services to the deity for about four days. The learned counsel submits that the petitioner's turn, which began on 11.08.2025 should have ended on 22.08.2025, but for the second respondent's intervention on 02.09.2025.
On merits, Sri Mahesh submits that the petitioner was extended this benefit on the demise of her husband, that she has ensured that the services are offered to the deity even in the past, and that overlooking the same as also the fact that the appeal is belated by over 50 days, the second respondent

has granted the interim order. The learned counsel submits that this Court must at least ensure that the petitioner offers services to the deity as part of the family for the last 4-5 days. Sri Rahul Cariappa, the learned Additional Government Advocate, who is called upon to accept notice for the respondents No.1 to 4, is heard.
In the light of the fact that the rights of the petitioner and her family members come to an end on 05.09.2025, this Court is of the opinion that if the petitioner can succeed in the appeal there must be just adjustment to the concerned's term that would be available to the family after this year. This Court is also of the view that the second respondent must examine why the petitioner should not be permitted to participate in the services to the deity by her family members for the last 4 -5 days of the term. Hence the following:

HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:32853 WP No. 25674 of 2025
ORDER The petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to file an application along with a certified copy of this order with the second respondent for participation in offering the services on 02.09.2025 and to seek adjustment in the next term for the family as aforesaid.
