Heard learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the State and Sri Chetan Chatterjee, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent Nos.2 to 5. 2. This is a writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the writ petitioner has prayed for the following substantial reliefs: "1. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari, quashing the impugned Provisional Revenue Assessment Notice dated 06.11.2024 issued by the respondent no. 3 (Annexure No. 3 to this Writ Petition). 2. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondent no. 3 not to proceed further in pursuance of Provisional Revenue Assessment Notice dated 06.11.2024 issued by the respondent no.3." 3. Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that against the provisional assessment, the petitioner has filed several objections, however, the same have not been considered till date and the same are pending before the respondent authority. 4. Upon hearing counsel appearing on behalf of the parties, we are of the view that the authority concerned should consider the objections of the petitioner and take a decision thereon. 5. Accordingly, the authority concerned is directed to take into consideration the objections filed by the petitioner, grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and thereafter, pass a reasoned order in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order. 6.
